1/20/2010 To all of our valued customers: I just want to pass along some of the latest industry information along to you.  Last week Shell announced an increase for all of the SOPUS brands to go into effect February 22nd.    Through the last couple of months refiners have been going up here and there on their base oils to the blenders.  I am afraid that the blenders are in a position that is forcing them to increase prices on their finished lubricants.  Chevron has announced an increase on March 1st and I am hearing all of our other blenders are increasing as well. It is too early to know how much these increases will be but please be assured that we will do everything that we can on our end to minimize them.  Should you have any questions please feel free to contact your Schmidt and Sons Inc. representative. We are pleased to announce that all of our blenders have announced price decreases to go into effect in the very near future. For the most part, most blender decreases will not go into effect until after the first of the year. However, as a partner in your business, effective December 18th, 2008, Schmidt and Sons Inc. will decrease prices on all bulk sales regardless of brand. Package goods decreases will soon be announced. We hope that this simplifies your purchasing with Schmidt and Sons Inc. and helps in the decision making process as to "who is doing what when."

Also, as of January 1, 2009, all Schmidt and Sons, Inc. announcements and notifications will be posted on our website at www.schmidtandsons.com; this will include notification of another price decrease that we are anticipating in the near future. We will also have the ability to send announcements and notifications via fax and email. With this being said, we will need some information from you in order to prepare our system for this transition. Please complete the attached form and return to us as soon as possible.
